ProGig Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

Radiant Roomworks provides ProGig, an Android app for organizing, reading, annotating, practicing, and performing with sheet music. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app or contact us.

For privacy questions or requests, email progig@radiantroomworks.com.

Information stored on your device

ProGig stores the music and information you add in the app's private storage on your device. This includes imported PDFs and images, scanned sheet music, song titles and other song details, library names, annotations, practice status, set lists, performance dates, and audio recordings. It also stores preferences such as appearance, metronome settings, and foot-pedal key mappings.

We use this information to provide the features you choose, including displaying scores, saving annotations, organizing performances, and recording or playing back practice sessions. Imported files are copied into app storage so they remain available without access to the source file.

ProGig does not require a ProGig account. Radiant Roomworks does not operate a server that receives or synchronizes your music library, scans, annotations, or recordings through the app. Optional document providers and Google components handle information as described below.

Camera access and scanning

ProGig uses the device's camera when you choose to scan printed sheet music. Scanning is provided through Google's ML Kit document scanner in Google Play services, which handles camera access and its scanning interface. ProGig does not independently request Android's camera permission; the scanner uses Google Play services' camera access.

The scanner lets you capture and review pages and choose which pages to return to ProGig. Google describes the document-scanning process as operating on the device. ProGig copies the returned page images into app-private storage for review and, if you save the song, for reading, annotation, and backup. Discarding the scan removes the staged copies held by ProGig.

The app does not use the camera to monitor you or record video in the background. Scanning components may require an initial internet download. Google components may transmit technical information as described in the Google components section. You can import existing PDFs or images without using the camera.

Microphone access and recordings

ProGig requests microphone permission when you choose to record a song. It uses the microphone to capture the audio you request and saves the resulting recording locally with that song. Recording stops when you leave the app or lock the device. Replacing an existing recording requires confirmation.

You can deny or revoke microphone permission in Android settings. The recording feature will then be unavailable, but you can continue reading and organizing sheet music. Recordings are included if you choose to export a backup.

File access and backups

ProGig uses Android's system file picker to open the PDFs, images, or backup files you select and to save backups where you choose. It does not request broad access to all files or your entire photo library.

A manual backup contains your music libraries, original score files, song details, annotations, practice status, recordings, and set lists. ProGig does not encrypt backup ZIP files. Save them in a private location and protect access to that location. Backup is not automatic cloud synchronization.

If you select Google Drive or another cloud document provider, that provider receives or supplies the selected files under its own terms and privacy practices. ProGig does not receive your Google account password or directly sign into Drive. An import or backup involving a cloud provider may use that provider's network connection and account services.

Restoring a backup replaces the current music libraries after confirmation. Removing content from ProGig does not remove original source files or exported backups stored elsewhere.

Google components and technical information

ProGig uses Google ML Kit for on-device song-title text recognition and the Google Play services document scanner. These components can send technical information to Google for diagnostics and usage analytics.

Google's ML Kit disclosure lists device and app information, installation or device identifiers depending on the feature, performance measurements, API configuration, feature events and versions, input/output sizes, and error codes. The exact information depends on the component and feature. Google states that the data covered by this disclosure is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and is not transferred onward to third parties.

Title recognition processes the score image on the device. Technical collection is separate from the contents of your score pages and recordings. ProGig does not send those contents to a Radiant Roomworks server.

Google controls the handling and retention of information it receives. Deleting local app data does not necessarily delete information already received by Google. More information is available in Google's Privacy Policy, ML Kit's terms and privacy information, and ML Kit's Android data disclosure.

Purchases and advertising

Google Play processes purchases of ProGig under Google's terms and privacy practices. The app does not access your payment card details. This version has no subscriptions or in-app purchases.

ProGig does not display advertising or include an advertising SDK. Radiant Roomworks does not sell information obtained through ProGig or use it to create advertising profiles.

Support communications

If you email progig@radiantroomworks.com, Radiant Roomworks receives your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your inquiry, investigate the issue you report, and handle follow-up correspondence. Email services used to deliver and store those messages also handle that correspondence.

Please send only information needed to explain your issue. You do not need to send private sheet music or recordings to use ProGig.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to address the inquiry and related follow-up issues or to meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete information you supplied by emailing the support address. Any necessary retention exception will be explained when responding to the request.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Music and settings stored in ProGig remain on your device until you remove or replace them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Temporary working files may also remain in app-private storage until removed by the app or Android.

Removing a song from a library removes that copy's pages, annotations, recordings, and set-list entries. Copies in other libraries remain. Removing a song from the Practice list does not delete it from your library. Clearing app storage or uninstalling ProGig removes its local data, so save a backup elsewhere first if you want to keep your library.

Delete exported backups separately from the device or cloud provider where you saved them. Original PDFs and images outside ProGig are separate from its imported copies.

You can manage microphone access in Android settings. Camera access for scanning is handled by Google Play services and its available device controls. You can choose file import instead of scanning and local backup instead of a cloud provider.

To ask about information held by Radiant Roomworks, request a correction, or request deletion, contact progig@radiantroomworks.com. We may need information to verify and locate the request, and will handle it as required by applicable law. We cannot remotely access or delete your app-private library, and ProGig does not provide a mechanism to identify or delete Google's SDK diagnostic records. Requests concerning information controlled by Google or another provider should also be directed to that provider through its available privacy controls.

Children and families

ProGig is intended for musicians of all ages. It does not ask users to create an account or enter their age, and it has no public profiles, public posting, chat, or advertising. Camera scans, recordings, and imported music are handled as described above, including when children use those features. Google components may process the technical information described above when those features are used by children.

Parents or guardians can manage device permissions and backup locations and help children avoid recording or sending unnecessary personal information. A parent or guardian with questions about a child's information, or who believes a child has sent personal information to Radiant Roomworks, can contact progig@radiantroomworks.com. We will review the request and address information under our control as required by applicable law.

Security

ProGig uses Android's application sandbox for app-private storage. It does not add its own encryption to local scores, recordings, or exported backups. Protect your device with its available security controls and restrict access to backups. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ProGig's features or information practices change. The revised policy will show an updated effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a material change.
